Personal: Blaine grew up in a normal Pureblood family. An accident left him alive, while his parents and siblings perished. He went to Hogwarts, being sorted into Ravenclaw House. With an IQ of 200, he uses his intelligence as his weapon in most cases.

He doesn't know why, but he doesn't seem to have the capability to talk to anyone of the opposite gender. When a woman begins to talk to him, he clams up and his ability to talk shuts down. Finally, he manages to escape. Hence, he avoids women in general.
