Personal: Veronica and Jack were great parents in their own way (meaning they kept out of their kids' troubles, letting them deal with bullying and other stuff on their own, which indeed gave Syd and Zoey experience and they grew up to be strong, even though they wanted their parents to meddle sometimes, but it's all over now) and Syd was always there for Zoey when she needed him.
