Personal: Maia Skits was rebelling against her parents who had her arranged to marry Jackson Grats when she met Mayson, a muggle born free man. They had an affair and during the time of her pregnancy Maia's brother, Harold, had convinced her to give Jackson a chance. The two fell in love. Mayson had no romantic feelings for Maia however he wanted the right to see his child which he can. Nyla liked spending more time with Mayson rather than Maia who was a great pureblood witch. When Nyla was eight Mayson changed his last name however Nyla did not want to. She has two younger cousins, Indigo and Christopher. Their parents, Jacquiline and Harold, died in a mysterious fire when they were four and moved in with Arina, Jupiter, and Hannson who is her age while they lived in Salem. When Nyla was fourteen she visited Indigo and Christopher along with their friend who was her age, Marquiez, they began dating and he fell in love with her. While they were dating she met Ulrich Auberry, a friend of Jackson, and for them it was love at first sight. She played a game of jealousy with Ulrich before she dumped Marquiez for Ulrich and during the summer when she was 15 he told her he felt the same but was afraid of the age limit. However, age is but a number.
